Sunny disposition
Good Morning. It's Monday and even though I am not known for my morning cheeriness, I'd like to start the day (and the blog) with a sunny disposition. So, here are some images to get you going. If you love color, then you must love summer too with all it's bright and beautiful flowers. Yellow.....the strongest color. Doesn't it wake you up and make you smile? It gets your attention that's for sure. So if you're feeling energetic and happy, splash a little yellow in your art and see what happens.
Cheers!

Deux
at
Original Sewing and Quilt Expo
Raleigh,
North Carolina
June 26
- 28, 2014
Hello to all the SAQA members from the NC/VA region. You may not realize that you have two new regional reps so I thought I'd take a moment to introduce ourselves. I am Eileen Williams and live along the coast of North Carolina. My co-rep is Lorie McCown, who lives in Va. We are both excited to be your regional reps and are looking forward to lots of good things happening in the future.
I'd really like to try to get this blog going and publish things of interest to our region. So, please let me know if there is some information you'd like to share.
Meanwhile, if you have a chance, be sure to visit the Raleigh Sewing and Quilt Expo and check out the SAQA Deux exhibition!

peau"
Artists
create their works to help them answer questions. Deux is a visual conversation
that expresses the questions and ideas important to each artist. Two works show
side by side, inviting the viewer to find the connections between them, and see
how the artists handle the challenges of composition and technique.
